| August 31, 2004 | What a month, filled with lot's of new experiences. This month I learned to crawl, pull myself to a standing position and I got my first two teeth. It's hard to believe that just a month ago I couldn't crawl at all, and today I can crawl all over the house at will, unless I'm blocked by the crib or some chairs that is. I even started to eat the same dinner that mommy & dady were eating, just all mushed up. Last night Daddy even gave me french fries with mustard on them, yyyuuummm!!! Well now that I'm able to explore the house, I'm sure I will have lot's of new things to tell you in September, so keep checking back.. |
| August 30, 2004 | Today was yet another milestone day - today Auntie Karen let me sit at the big table and eat cheerio's and drink from a sippy cup with the big kids. Also after I got home mommy blended, frapayed, and grinded lasagna up so daddy could feed it to me. The noodles were soft and slippery on my tongue, while the beef was clumpy and chewy (have you ever tried chewing meat with gums???). PS - Daddy says it's funny when I crawl, because I have a little hop. |
| August 29, 2004 | Today I woke up in the cabin, it was nice and refreshing, Daddy carried me out into the living room and I could smell the Bacon cooking. Papa Mike made bacon and eggs for breakfast. After breakfast we went out onto the porch and drank Hot Coffee in the cool mountain air, that was really fun. I even got to see my first horse fly (FYI - that's not a flying horse) . Later in the day Nanna took a blanket out into the yard and let me play, I even fell over and hit my head on a toy, it really hurt, but momma and nanna were there to sooth the pain. After lunch Daddy drove us back from the mountain and I was awake for the majority of the ride. When we got home daddy took a nap and I got to wake him up so Daddy & I could go to the store for a cocunut creme pie, Oh yeah and the stuff mommy sent him to the store to get too. PS - I can't wait to go back up to the cabin. |
| August 28, 2004 | Woo Hoo, I get to go see the cabin today. Today daddy came in to get me in the morning. He said we have to be real quite so mommy can sleep, so we ate breakfast and took a bath. After the bath daddy got me all cleaned up and even tried to part my hair in the middle. Mommy woke up and then after a short while we were on the road. Mommy sat in the back with me and Comit got to ride in the front with Daddy (lucky dog). After we got to the cabin, Comit ran around all over the place and even met a couple friends (a lab, and a terrier). Nanna was so happy to see me she didn't want to let me go, but I had to tell het that I'm all grown up now and I gotta be able to move. So Nanna let me crawl around, and play on the floor. After a relaxing day at the cabin Papa Mike started a fire outside & we all sat around in blankets, Nanna kept me warm and cozy all wrapped up with her. |
| August 27, 2004 | Today is another milestone day: That's right everyone get your Camera's ready and your flasher's flashing cuz I'm gonna stand up on my own anyday now. I'm not standing up yet!!! However when I'm crawling I can put my feet down flat and straigten my arms and legs so I look like a little pyramid (everyone thinks it's so cute). I can also grab onto my daddy's hands and pull myself to a standing position without any help from daddy other then just to help me balance. Look out Scratch, I'm coming for you next. Ohhh... What a rough day. Well I don't know what it was, but it sure was fun... Some little black thing, looks like it had landing gear & wing-like things, Auntie told me that it was a fly. I chased it everywhere, but everytime it would land, I would sneak up& try to get it, but it always got away. Bummer Yea, my bottom is sore too, I gave Auntie Karen a pretty good duker (a #2) today. Heee Heee Auntie Karen keeps telling me to "Save those dukers for your Dad!" PS - today I got too jump on the tramp!!! |

What I did today - Please call me "Thee Big Boy" I ate real peoples food, yummy pea's please , I love them & hot dogs, they're the best. I see why they call them "America's Favorite Food". I also learned how to drink from a straw, yes a straw. Now I can have drinks from mommy's pop! Yeah - I just love my Auntie Karen, she teaches me everything! |
| August 24, 2004 | I heard that today is the last day that daddy will be picking me up on Tuesday's. I guess mommy will be taking classes on Thursday's. which means starting next week I get to spend all my Thursday's with daddy. He will be in complete control of my food and diaper changing, and even bedtimes... .... .... ... .... Wait!!! dad's in control??? all by himself??? HHHHHHEEEEEELLLLLPPPPPP!!!!! Somebody for the love of God do something!!!! I'll starve!!!! |
| August 23, 2004 | Another Day, another trip to Auntie Karen's house. Mommy had to take me to Karen's and pick me up because daddy had to work from 7:30am - 7pm just like he does on Saturdays, what a long day, I hope he get's to take naps, I take nap's everyday. Sometimes I take a couple, "it's good to be the King", Oh that last part was just a line I heard in a movie mommy and daddy were watching, I wasn't emplying that I was the "King" |
| August 22, 2004 | Ok, sundays are always cool because we have the whole family at home together, mommy spent most of the day cleaning and doing laundry, while daddy worked on his brakes, I guess the grinding sound I was hearing whenever I was in daddy's truck wasn't supposed to be there. Daddy says that in a couple of weeks he's gonna stop mommy's car from squeaking too.. |
| August 21, 2004 | The weekend is here again, I love Saturday's I get to spend all day with mommy and daddy. However this Saturday is daddy's day to work (two in a row, sheesh). Anyway it's just me and Mom, or at least that's what I thought until mommy took me to my Aunt Regaroo's. Oh well at least I get to spend some more time with my cousin Courtney. After a couple hours mommy came back and got me, she said she was getting a pet & cure, I'm not really sure what that is but I'm pretty sure comit & scratch are gonna love it.. |
| August 20, 2004 | Today's entry is mostly about my Daddy. Today for lunch daddy went to Best Buy (he tells me it's like heaven for men). At Best Buy daddy bought a IEEE (1394) controller card and an IEEE cable (mommy says thats all techeneze for computer stuff). With the new stuff Daddy was able to download video from his camcorder into his computer and from their he was able to upload it to my journal. So if your interested check out this link crawling. Daddy says that the file is a 2mb file so the best way to get it is to right click on the link and go to "Save Target As". |
| August 19, 2004 | Aunt Debby & Uncle Ron's Babysat me tonight. Aunt Debby
& Uncle Ron told mommy and Daddy that I 1.) Orion slept while we ate dinner 2.) Cassidy walked by his car seat and yelled "he woke up" 3.) Christopher and I took him downstairs to play. (Kylee and Ron went to school registration) 4.) Orion spit up on the floor, Christopher and I screamed, Orion cried 5.) Grandpa Renke came over and played with him 6.) 7:45 he looked hungry, so we fed him 7.) He got food on his clothes so we washed them 8.) Orion sucked on every stuffed animal tag he could find (we thought that was so cute) 9.) Christopher and Orion and I played hide and go seek, he found us 10.) Jackie and Cody came over and played with Orion 11.) We took Spongebob pictures of him 12.) Ron Held him and he fell asleep 13.) I put him on the floor and slept with him till Mommy and Daddy came. Things Debby forgot or didn't know about.... 1) Cody gave Orion a dolphin he bought while we were at Sea World. 2) Orion slobbered on tail, nose and tag...A LOT 3) Aunt Jackie played with Orion (for like an hour), he really likes his tummy tickled. 4) Orion really "tickled" Grandpa Jack, when he waved goodbye as Grandpa was leaving (I actually think he was scratching his ear) 5) Jackie helped with the SpongeBobbing of Orion 6) Jackie helped Orion eat SpongeBob 7) Orion laughs really hard when he makes Sponge Bob say "Can I get some help here" or I'm O K" as Orion eats SpongeBob's feet and hands. |
| August 18, 2004 | Today I spent the entire day with my cousin Courtney, she was real nice to me except for the time she slammed my head into the corner of the couch, but I forgave her for that. She spent most of her time playing video games with daddy, but when ever I was getting fussy she would get my bottle or pick me up, she even hung out on the recliner for awhile with me. Later in the day she took me over to the gas station so daddy could get some gas (no pun intended). Oh yeah mommy & daddy were there too. |
| August 17, 2004 | I drank from a sippy cup, Ya'll. Or at least that was the highlite of my day according to Auntie Karen. Daddy picked me up and he brought Courtney with him, she got to play with Karen's toys while daddy talked to Karen. After that we all went home and had Pizza & wings, or at least everyone else did, I just had baby food. |
| August 16, 2004 | #2 has arrived. Thats right, I now have two teeth, check out this chart to see which ones have arrived, daddy says they're called Lower Central Incisors. I think he found it on a website to make himself seem brainy, heck he probably stole the chart too. Well growing teeth is really really hard so today I just wasn't a lot of fun in daycare, I kinda just laid around and didn't laugh much. Tonight was my prime, daddy let me be an airplane and he even scared mommy a couple times. I even crawled from the living room to the breakfast counter all by myself. I guess mommy & daddy get to find a new place to keep the old newspapers. |
| August 15, 2004 | Today I crawled, for real!!! I don't mean I got up on my hands and knees all by myself, and I don't mean I lifted a leg!! I MEAN I CRAWLED!!! This morning after I woke up I decided that today would be the day, so after a little bit of coaxing by daddy I took off across the floor and got to his cell phone. Heck I went from 0-6 (feet) in a second. Now that I know how, I'm never gonna stop. I've all ready figured out how to pester the dog. She lays down on the floor and I crawl over to her, and grab her tail, she growls a little and goes across the room, and in a few seconds, I have her paw. It's a RIOT!!! |
| August 14, 2004 | Today I got to spend the whole day with my mommy, Daddy had to work so I didn't get to see him to much. Mommy and I played all day, she said I was rolling everywhere. We even went out to the garden and picked cucumbers, strawberries, & green beans, yyymmmmm!!!! to bad I can't eat them yet with my itty bitty tooth. Speaking of my tooth, should I start flossing? |
| August 13, 2004 | Today both Mommy & Daddy forgot me at daycare (aka Auntie Karen's). Ok their not bad parent's since this was the first time, I guess I'll have to forgive them. From what I over heard, it sounds like both mommy & daddy got off work at 5pm. mom thought dad was going to pick me up, and dad thought mom was gonna pick me up. Dad got home at 6pm and mom was home all by herself!!! So dad raced out the door with cell phone in hand calling Karen to say he was on his way. Karen must really like me cause she didn't get mad at daddy at all in fact she even gave him a beer. |
| August 12, 2004 | The best part of today was when I got home with mommy. Mommy got me a new Laptop and the Hulk. Yes!!! I said Mommy got me the laptop and the Hulk. Also today Grandpa Renke sent me an e-mail - What do you think? "Yeah! Orion, every one has a first tooth about to come in but only you have a journal informing everyone of one of your first monumental happenings in life. Thanks to your dad we all have an opportunity to be part of your early years." I think I have a tear in my eye!!! |
| August 11, 2004 | Today I spent the day with my daddy. Daddy gave me a bath and then left me in the tub to play, I found out that if I splash really really hard I can get water to go all the way over to the bathroom door. We played all day, except when we were working on his computer, ok he did most of the work, while I laid on the floor and tried to eat a game controller. What else happened today??? Nothing major, heck the only other thing I can think of was the tooth that started coming in, but I don't think anyone out there would care if I was getting teeth? Would Ya??? |
| August 10, 2004 | Today is Tuesday and nothing new happened today! I went to daycare at Karen's and I spent the whole day spitting up formula & food. Karen even gave me a bath. Right after my bath Daddy showed up and talked to Karen. I got to play with them and Karen even gave me a couple of graham sticks to eat, they're so good. |

| August 8, 2004 | When I woke up this morning daddy brought me into bed with him & mommy, before I knew it scratch and comit were in the bed too. Sunday, what a lazy day!!! I hung out with mommy & daddy today while we watched an all day marathon of The 4400. at this rate I'm gonna be a huge Sci-Fi freak. Is that a good thing? |
| August 7, 2004 | It's Saturday woohoo, I get to spend the whole day with Mommy and Daddy. I started the dad off by saying Da-Da, daddy was very happy until I started calling the dog Da-Da too. We stopped off at Karen's so dad could drop off a couple games. After that we went to Wendy's for lunch, I really don't know why we went over there, all I got was formula??? Anyway after that we went to the store, I decided to take a nap at the store, the store is pretty boring, all I ever see is ceiling tile, ceiling tile, light, repeat... The best news for the whole day is that I was able to sleep through the entire night, that made daddy very happy. |
| August 6, 2004 | Today was a pretty exciting day for me, I started the day off by going over to Karen's. Karen took me swimming at the Brighton Rec Center. I really like the pool, I get to relax in a big yellow inflatable tube. After swimming Dad picked me up and took me to Amici's. The whole family was very impressed that I was able to sit up at the table to eat. Daddy told everyone that he was promoted to Manager at work, but we all know everyone was hoping that I would have a little brother or sister coming soon. |
| August 5, 2004 | Today my father did something to me that I may never be able to forgive him for. Nanna you should keep this man away from me. The horror that he put me through is mind numbing. I never thought my own daddy could be so cruel. He made me do what he himself would never do!!! HE FED ME PEAS!!!! Oh yeah, he blamed it on a lack of other options, OK it was the only jar in the fridge that had all ready been opened, but he could have opened a new Jar. I don't think there is anything that could make me forget about those PEAS!!!! Oh look, Scratch, what was I talking about??? Must not have been very important. Have I ever told you I love my Daddy??? |
| August 4, 2004 | Today I took my first steps toward, Well, stepping, that's right I got up on all four and held myself for several second's before falling back onto my tummy. No really check it out for yourself - me crawling - The best part is that this wasn't a one time deal, I can do it every time, Ok, I'll admit I do need a little help getting up, but once I'm up It's all me!!! Before long I'll be chasing the cat and dog, WooHoo!!! |
| August 3, 2004 | Today I wore shoes's!!! I know what your thinking, SO!! Well today was the first day for me so it was a little exciting OK. Not only that when your 6 months old everything is exciting, heck today I was astonished when daddy opened the window in the roof of his truck. So thank's Karen, I love the shoe's, of course now mommy is probably going to go out and by me like fifty new pairs. is this a good thing??? Anyway tonight when I got home from Karen's I was kinda fussy, I kinda wanted to take a long nap, but mommy and daddy new I would sleep better if I stayed up tell 9. |
| August 2, 2004 | Today is Monday and last night I had a rough night of sleep. I kept waking up all by myself and I'd have to cry and cry before anyone came to see me, sometimes it was mommy and some times it was daddy. I liked seeing them but I could tell they wanted me to go back to sleep. This morning after I woke up daddy took me to daycare where I got to play with all the kids and I even got Macaroni and Cheese for lunch. I really likes sucking the cheese off of them. Mommy came to get me and brought me home so I could watch mommy cut up strawberries, maybe she's gonna make me more twizzlers??? Tonight I was playing with daddy and decided to give him a raspberry on his leg, Mommy laughed and laughed, and that made me laugh too. Well it's 9 o'clock and that's my bedtime so Good Night everyone. PS - Good News Grandpa Renke, tonight I get to wear my Bronco sleeper. |
| Augist 1, 2004 | This year is just flying by, it's hard to believe that it's August all ready, heck it feels like it was just a year ago that mom and dad heard my heart beat for the first time, wait that was about a year ago. Anyway today I went shopping with mom and dad. Dad got me a new fence to keep me out of the office, and mom got some new clothes for me to wear next year when I'm all grown up and 18 month's old. Dad keep's saying I have to move out when I'm 18 so I'm glad mom's gettin my clothes all ready. We also went to Robb's and bought a bunch of formula and food really cheap. Dad even splurged and got some twizzlers that he let me suck on until mom told him that some babies develop strawberry allergies. |
