Jacob Schmierer was born December 28, 1863 in Worms, Ukraine, South Russia. Jacob married Christina Zollar Schmierer and they had 14 children Magdalina, Christina, Freda, Carrina, Rosie, Sarah, John, Henry, Fred, Frank, Jake, Ed, Albert, August (Gus). Jacob later stowed away on a ship and when he arrived in the USA he worked and saved until he could afford to have his family join him. Jacob died May 22, 1929 in Greeley (Weldona), CO
